Correction to 2013 Consolidated Election Calendar

Dec 14, 2012

Share to:

The 2013 Consolidated Election Calendar incorrectly identified Thursday, February 7, 2013 as the last day for local election officials to certify to the election authority all public questions to be placed on the ballot for the April 9, 2013 Consolidated Election. The correct date for certification of public questions is Thursday, January 31, 2013. Accordingly, the February 7, 2013 item in the Calendar should be deleted and the January 31, 2013 deadline for certification should be inserted as follows:

DATEDAYS BEFORE ELECTIONPERSON RESPONSIBLEEVENT
Thursday,1/31/1368Secretary of Board or Municipal ClerkLast for local election official to certify all public questions to the election authority. (10 ILCS 5/28-5)
Thursday, 2/7/1361Secretary of Board or Municipal Clerk Last day for local election official to certify all public questions to each election authority. (10 ILCS 5/28-5)

We regret the error.  If you have any questions, please contact Neal Smith in the Mokena office of Robbins Schwartz (815.722.6560) or Heidi Katz in the firm’s Chicago office (312.332.7760).
