Apr 8, 2020

Yesterday afternoon, Governor Pritzker issued Executive Order 2020-22.  The Illinois Township Code requires that each Illinois township hold an annual town meeting for calendar year 2020 on either April 14 or 21, 2020.  In order to relieve townships of this obligation during COVID-19, Section 1 of the Executive Order provides that the requirement to hold an annual township meeting is suspended through the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamations.
