As many of you are aware, on February 4, 2022, a Circuit Court Judge in Sangamon County issued a temporary restraining order (“TRO”) affecting certain K-12 school districts in Illinois with respect to those districts’ implementation of COVID-19 mitigation measures.  The Judge’s order has no impact on higher education institutions, which remain obligated to follow all State issued COVID-19 mitigation measures.  Robbins Schwartz will continue to monitor this pending COVID-19 litigation for further developments.  If you have any questions about this lawsuit or are seeking assistance communicating with stakeholders in your community regarding the applicability of the TRO, please contact your Robbins Schwartz attorney.
