Peter W. Kordas
Peter practices in the firm’s commercial, construction, real estate, public finance, and taxation practice groups. Peter represents school districts, community colleges, municipalities before the Property Tax Appeal Board and the circuit court on valuation and tax objections. Peter represents clients in areas of commercial transactions, including drafting and negotiating contracts, litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Peter also represents public and private entities over the course of construction and development projects and any resulting litigation concerning payment delays, or design, or construction defects.
Prior to joining Robbins Schwartz, Peter represented commercial and residential property assessment appeals at the County and State levels. Peter also previously worked as an attorney for the Cook County Treasurer’s Office where he helped taxpayers with complex property tax issues.
