Zoning, Planning, and Land Use

Robbins Schwartz advises clients with regard to redevelopment agreements, annexations, planned unit developments, subdivisions, comprehensive plans, map amendments, conditional uses, zoning hearings and constitutional issues regarding land use regulations.

When new construction is proposed or land is proposed to be purchased or leased, we advise our clients on how local zoning requirements will affect the use of the facilities or land.

Our attorneys have litigated numerous land use cases before a variety of tribunals, including circuit courts throughout the state and the appeals of circuit court decisions to appellate courts and the Illinois Supreme Court. Our experience has shown us how to effectively provide evidence from experts such as engineers, architects, appraisers or planners before a zoning board or other board or agency to obtain the desired result.
