Scott focuses his practice on design and construction related issues, including contract drafting and review, litigation and alternative dispute resolution, surety issues, and mechanic's lien issues. He has experience in matters involving design and construction defects, bidding disputes and payment disputes. He has represented public and private owners, designers, contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and sureties.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Scott worked for eight years in program, design and construction management on aviation, petrochemical, and pipeline projects. He is registered as a professional engineer in the State of Nevada (inactive).

Scott resides in Chesterton, Indiana with his wife and son.
